Paul Akroyd will step down from his CEO role at IXM at the end of the year 2022.

We would like to thank Paul for his invaluable contribution over the past 10 years. Paul joined the Metals business unit at Louis Dreyfus Company in 2012. Since then, he transformed the business into one of the world’s largest independent global non-ferrous metals trading companies and successfully integrated it with CMOC post acquisition. Under his leadership, IXM has more than quadrupled its equity base and continues to achieve record performance in recent consecutive years.

We are now very pleased to announce that Kenny Ives joins us from October 17th, 2022. Kenny worked at Glencore for 23 years in various leadership, managerial and trading roles in the UK, the Netherlands, China, and Switzerland, across the base metals and agricultural sectors. He also played an important role during the Glencore/Xstrata integration, which gave him an in-depth understanding of mining operations and its combination with trading businesses. Kenny was the Nickel Divisional Head and member of the executive committee when he left Glencore in 2021.

Paul and Kenny will work hand in hand to ensure a smooth and strong transition until the end of December 2022 and look forward to further developing and strengthening our highly valued relationships with all our partners, customers, and stakeholders. We would like to assure you that IXM’s level of commitment and dedication to performance shall not be diminished.

CMOC and IXM management would like to thank Paul and congratulate him for his productive career meanwhile, we welcome Kenny as IXM’s new leader and look forward to many more years of successful growth.
