Our Approach

We source, finance, and transport copper concentrate, intermediate products, and refined copper while providing sound risk management solutions. We responsibly source raw materials and refined metals from mines, smelters, and refineries worldwide with a particularly strong presence in major producing countries such as Chile, Peru and Mexico.

IXM has extensive experience and capabilities in transporting metals and raw materials from origin to wherever our customers need them. We design tailored transportation solutions to move metals and minerals safely and efficiently by road, rail, barge, bulk and containerised ocean shipments to regions with high levels of consumption such as China, Japan, Western Europe and North America.

This allows us to propose delivery solutions that suit the interests of our suppliers and customers, and connect supply with demand at a global level.

Marketing of CMOC Group Assets

Tenke Fungurume (TFM)

CMOC holds 80% equity in TFM, the world's second largest cobalt producer and one of the world's leading copper producers. TFM engages in exploring, mining, processing, refining, and selling copper and cobalt in a mining concession that covers 1'500 sq. km. The concession mainly produces copper cathodes and cobalt hydroxide. TFM operates a large, high-grade copper deposit that is also home to one of the world's largest high grade cobalt deposits.

Callao Warehouse

The warehouse is a central component of IXM’s Peru activity which consists in sourcing, blending, storing, transporting and exporting metals and minerals including copper and zinc concentrates produced mainly in the centre of the country. The warehouse location, close to Peru’s main polymetallic mining areas with railway and highway access, makes it the best option for export. In August 2021, IXM increased storage capacity to reach a total throughput capacity of more than 500'000 WMT.
